Three rugby league loving friends from Irlam had the chance to meet their heroes and walk onto the hallowed turf at the AJ Bell Stadium as they were chosen to be mascots for a Salford Red Devils rugby match.

Union Jacks, bunting and our ‘Vera Lynn’ blasting out of the phonogram all added to the atmosphere at the popular ‘Café on the Lake’ at Moss Farm Fisheries in Irlam as the café was transported back to the 1940’’s for a D- Day Party.
The Irlam and Cadishead Social Inclusion Group (ICSI for short) are a group set up to invite socially isolated people to come out for a lunch with free food, bingo and entertainment and renew their acquaintance with friends from the area and the chance to make new friends at the same time.
The Irlam and Cadishead Health Improvement Team, together with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, held a Coffee Morning at Irlam Community Fire Station on Fairhills Road recently with healthy snacks and a lovely cuppa available in order to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Army Benevolent Fund.
