Irlam Endowed Primary school entered the Salford Tri-Golf Tournament (pictured) recently and once again showed their all round sporting prowess.
The tournament was held on the Astroturf at Broughton Park in Salford and tested the Irlam teams resolve as the rain and wind battered the children.
Tri – golf is a fast growing sport in Primary schools and over 100 children from school across the Salford area attended the popular event.
Irlam Endowed Year three and four pupils won 5 out of 10 holes which saw them run out as tournament winners. Teacher Jude Scrutton said, “This is the first time we have won the tri-golf tournament and the children should be immensely proud of their performance.”
The children will go on to represent Salford at the Summer Games on July 15th.
