Cadishead Rhinos Amateur Rugby League Club (ARLFC) are one of eight Clubs from around Salford and Manchester to benefit from an initiative arranged by the Salford Red Devils Foundation.
The Lords Street players were invited down to a recent Devils match at the AJ Bell Stadium at Barton and were invited onto the pitch at half time to receive new equipment including, tackle bags, tackle shields and an assortment of rugby balls to help their club develop.
Salford Red Devils Foundation operations director John Blackburn said, “The Foundation in conjunction with the Big Lottery are delighted to be able to support our local grass roots rugby clubs with this donation of equipment.”
Business Development Manager for the Salford Red Devils Foundation, Mark Brocklehurst added, “This is part of our skills promotion the ‘Tackle unemployment Project’ we are currently running that offers seven week courses for two days a week in such things as confidence building, first aid training and CV writing, in a bid to help people get into work.”
