Players and official from Irlam Football Club rounded off their Season and enjoyed a night of live music and comedy at their annual presentation evening. The Club has had a successful season on all fronts this season, with all three teams at the Club showing real improvement as they prepare for the season ahead.

Irlam FC 1st team Manager Steve Nixon achieved a mid table finish in his first season in charge at Silver St in North West Counties Division One.

Irlam FC Reserves finished fourth in the North West Counties Reserve division, as well as narrowly losing out to Darwen FC in the final of the Reserve Division Cup losing on penalties. The Reserves remain the only team still playing, as a semi final of the Reserve Division Trophy looms with the prospect of another final to come.

The newly introduced U18’s squad at Silver Street has seen an amazing influx of talented young players at the Club, and a fourth placed finish in their division at the first attempt shows how strong the side will be going forward.

Club Secretary Warren Dodd added, “The Club has had a stellar season, with rapid improvement both on and off the pitch. Next season will not come soon enough for us, as facilities and pitch development begin this month, ensuring that the players have a first class ground to enjoy at our Silver Street home.”
