Some of these questions and answers may be used in the Times but we will not use real names or personal information that may identify the persons seeking help.
Fran said, “I believe that the relationship between the client and counsellor is of paramount importance. There has to be trust and congruence for the relationship to work. It my role to create conditions where the growth can process and be encouraged, this will allow things to flourish and provide a safe place in which the client can fully engage in the process of moving forward with their life. I am also aware that for this to happen, the core conditions empathy, congruence and positive regard need to be used.
As a Professional Therapist I always receive regular supervision and pursue any further training opportunities to help gain more skills.”
