Irlam Company ranked 22nd in Best Workplaces 2014

Irlam based Imperative Training based at Station Approach received an incredible honour recently as it was announced they ranked in the Top 25 Workplaces in the Small Category of “Best Workplaces 2014”, by the Great Place to Work® Institute UK.

“Best Workplaces 2014″ is an esteemed competition and the largest of its kind with thousands upon thousands of entries competing to rank for a place. Every year Great Place to Work® surveys over 6,000 organisations around the world representing around 10 million employees.

Imperative Training has just celebrated its tenth birthday and subsequently its tenth year in business, and has been noted as the second-fastest growing training company in the UK. Providing dynamic, enjoyable and practical training from first aid to health and safety throughout a wide range of industry sectors, Imperative Training allows staff to become prompt and effective first aiders by providing a high quality training course, delivered by one of 200+ trainers based around the UK. Training over 22,000 learners each year, Imperative Training train more first aiders than all ten ambulance trusts together.

Unlike other similar organisations; the Great Place to Work® Institute UK survey both employees and management of the organisations to gain greater knowledge of the company. They take into consideration the level of trust within the company, along with pride of working within the particular organisation and colleague interaction.

2014 has already been an incredible success for Imperative Training as they won a Customer Service award in Training Services from Insight 100 in January, this came in addition to their previous accolades of an Investors in People Bronze Award as well as Salford Business Runner up Award.

Head of Imperative HR and Training, Ben Cazin said; “The process of entering these awards has given us the opportunity to reflect on what we are great at, as well as considering how we can improve; we are already making changes in line with the feedback from the survey.  By entering these awards and using the promotional materials, we have shown staff that we value them and their opinions, as well as clearly showing that we are willing to improve.  By receiving this recognition, we show our stakeholders that we continue to invest in ensuring we are the best First Aid training company in the UK.  Imperative Training is extremely proud and humbled by this award and to be a part of a recognised and established “Great Workplace”.
